Make Peace With Food
Learn to trust Your Body Again
Eating disorders are biologically driven conditions that we are just starting to understand. Many of the ways which our brain and body responds to dieting is rooted in that biology. Food deprivation triggers a famine response.

Understanding why our brain and body responds in the way that it does, and what might be going on to shape our feelings towards food and eating, is liberating. I combine compassion with a deep knowledge of the emerging science as it applies to each client.
My Philosophy
As long as the body perceives a famine, our brain will respond to keep us trapped in difficult thoughts and overwhelming feelings. The brain has to learn that the famine is over to feel safe.
Nourish & Nurture
Nutrition affects our thoughts, feelings & behaviours.
Personalised Approach
Each client has a unique set of challenges and circumstances.
Mind & Body Connection
Eating neurocircuitry is intricately intertwined with fear responses and mood.

Ella
"It was helpful to see Elizabeth to support our daughter to make the changes she needs. It was helpful to both me and my child to have a fresh look at how to think about and view food/eating. Both during early re-feeding and maintaining of weight. As a parent, I needed the support early on to know what I should be doing but perhaps more crucially, towards the end of treatment, for my child (and me) to feel able to eat more normally and think about food in a more positive, less scary way."

"Early contact with Elizabeth made a difference. Not all children are the same, and having a personalised eating plan for our daughter was very helpful. We have found she struggled to put on weight with a standard eating plan and so having more personalised advice on how to increase her food intake without distressing her too much was great. We have found this has barely been covered in the normal CAMHS sessions we have."
